Gary Westgarth

Owner, Watford Quality Care Centre

Gary Westgarth is the owner of Watford Quality Care Centre, an independently owned long-term care home in Watford, Ontario, where he has provided leadership for over 25 years. Since acquiring the home in 1996, he has remained committed to delivering high-quality, resident-centred care while fostering a strong culture of service for residents, families, and staff.

Gary brings extensive experience in long-term care administration and operations. Throughout his career, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of APANS, Vice President of Operations at Reliance Care Inc., and Administrator at both Maitland Manor in Goderich and Meadow Park in London. He holds a degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Saskatchewan and has dedicated much of his career to advancing quality care and strong leadership within Ontario’s long-term care sector.

As a member of the Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA) Board of Directors, Gary is committed to representing and advocating for the interests of small, independent long-term care operators, bringing practical operational experience and a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the sector.
