Danielle Parr is Vice President of Public Affairs at Extendicare, with responsibility for government and stakeholder relations, communications, marketing and brand. A seasoned leader with extensive experience in complex public affairs and strategic communications matters, Danielle previously served as Managing Principal of a leading public strategy firm, where she was a trusted advisor to senior executives and boards of directors, and as the Executive Director of the Entertainment Software Association of Canada, leading government relations and public affairs on behalf of the country’s video game publishers.
She has worked in communications and public affairs at both General Motors and Investors Group, and spent several years as a political aide in provincial and federal governments across the country, including the offices of two provincial premiers, two provincial cabinet ministers, and a federal party leader in addition to numerous provincial and federal campaigns. She was featured in Maclean’s magazine as one of Canada’s 25 “Leaders of Tomorrow”, and recognized as one of the Top 100 Lobbyists in Canada by the Hill Times, Canada’s Parliamentary newspaper.
