In response to announcement, Ontario connecting long-term care residents to more in-home diagnostic services:
“The Ontario Long Term Care Association and its member homes thank the Ontario Government for its investments into improving diagnostics that will enable more residents across Ontario to receive faster and more convenient diagnostic services in their long-term care homes.
Ontario long-term care homes’ top priorities are the delivery of safe, quality care to their residents and support to their staff.
Today’s announcement that includes investments into new diagnostic equipment, training to staff, in-home lab services and in-person and virtual consultations, will enable homes to better manage their residents’ conditions and prevent hospital visits.
We thank the government for these investments that will improve the quality of care and services that long-term care homes deliver.”
