In response to the Auditor General of Ontario report on long-term care:
“The Auditor General’s report reinforces the importance of stabilizing the long-term care workforce to meet the significant and increasingly more complex care needs of residents.
We are in the midst of an unprecedented staffing shortage across the health system in Ontario and around the globe. Growing a larger long-term care and health system workforce is an urgent priority.
Our sector is committed to continuing to work with government and other health system and post-secondary partners to advance bold solutions to address the critical shortage of health human resources.”
