Ontario introduced the 2026 Budget: A Plan to Protect Ontario in the Ontario Legislature today.

In a challenging economic and fiscal environment, we appreciate the government’s continued commitment to staffing and capital investment in long-term care homes. That reflects the determined advocacy of our Minister of Long-Term Care, Natalia Kusendova-Bashta. Our homes are cornerstones of care for the residents and families who depend on them, and economic drivers contributing 166,000 jobs and building stronger communities in every corner of Ontario.
We will continue to work with the government to make the best use of available funding and ensure that the momentum built over recent years carries forward. Our member homes are ready to build, redevelop, and deliver, and they are committed to doing that work alongside government.”
