The Ontario government is expanding the Community Access to Long-Term Care program to three new sites in Deep River, Ailsa Craig and Woodstock, while continuing to support the original locations in Brampton, Mississauga and Dundas.
“A senior getting foot care, a wound dressed or a physiotherapy session at a long-term care home they already trust, without a hospital visit, is dignity and independence protected. More than 10,000 visits in year one tells us how much families and caregivers needed this option.
We thank the Ontario government for expanding this program to three new communities, and we’re proud that two of our members, Fairview Parkwood Craigwiel Communities and Woodingford Lodge, are delivering this care as part of that expansion, alongside every home making this work.
This is what it looks like when long-term care homes are trusted as hubs for the whole community.”
