Celebrating 40 Years of Caring

September 16, 2015, Woodstock – Caressant Care Nursing and Retirement Homes is celebrating “40 Years of Caring” on September 29, 2015. The date marks our 40th year in the business of owning and operating Long Term Care and Retirement Homes in Ontario.

Caressant Care opened in 1975 with a 60-bed Long Term Care Home in Woodstock and since then we have built or purchased 14 additional homes in Ontario that stretch all the way from St. Thomas to Bourget (which is near the Quebec border). Caressant Care now has 1243 nursing home beds and 720 retirement home beds across the company.

“It really is hard to believe that Caressant Care has been in existence for 40 years now,” says President Jim Lavelle. “You can’t have a successful business for that long without good people around you. I’ve been fortunate to have employees both at the Head Office and at the Homes who have been invaluable to our success. And that success is providing quality care for our residents,” he adds.

“There are so many amazing stories located right inside our Homes,” says Lee Griffi, Manager of Corporate Communications. “It is my hope that our friends in the media will take this opportunity to celebrate with us by discovering what incredible people and programs can be found every single day,” he adds.

Caressant Care locations across the province have planned celebrations on various dates. See the accompanying page for details on the event and home(s) closest to you.
