OLTCA has four core functions – Advocacy, Communications, Education and Member Services.
| Advocacy OLTCA works to ensure that members’ issues, concerns and solutions are represented and heard at tables where decisions are made that affect the sustainability, growth and development of the long term care sector. |

| Communications OLTCA is focused on timely two-way communications to enhance the value of information to members and to the Association. OLTCA communications vehicles include, members meetings, regular newsletters, special bulletins, board and member conference calls and regional and provincial networking events. |

| Education OLTCA strives to support members and their management staff in remaining current with leading-edge developments in the delivery of long term care services. We are committed to linking members to the education and expertise that they need. Current education programs include our Annual Convention, Spring Retreat, Management Symposium and 'just-in-time' education programs. |

| Member Services OLTCA fosters long term care leadership through membership growth, development and support. This member service focus is made real through the specific advocacy, communications and education initiatives that are undertaken as well as the Targeted Insurance Program and other direct membership programs. |
