Since the Ontario Long Term Care Association’s founding in 1959, we have developed a strong tradition of taking a solutions-oriented approach to advancing care and services to meet the changing needs of Ontario’s long-term care residents. We are proud to provide our members with unparalleled opportunities for networking, education and best practice sharing.
As the largest long-term care home association in Ontario and the only association that represents the full mix of long-term care operators - not-for-profit, private, charitable and municipal, our active or home members include multi-facility operators, single and independent family operators, charitable organizations and municipalities. Our home members operate 437 long-term care homes in communities throughout Ontario that provide care and accommodation services to over 70,000 residents annually. This represents 70% of the total number of long-term care homes in Ontario, and 65% of the residents in the province. Our Board of Directors includes representatives from across Ontario that matches the diversity of our membership.
The Ontario Long Term Care Association Commercial Membership Program was developed to provide vendors with the opportunity to reach key decision makers in long-term care, while providing partnership opportunities for all companies that share a genuine interest in furthering the quality of long-term care. Through participation in Association events and activities, our commercial members gain exposure for their businesses, strengthening their market positions and building long-lasting alliances with leaders in long-term care.
Our affiliate membership provides a variety of educational and research institutions, as well as other non-profit stakeholders, with the opportunity to stay informed about the key issues and activities in the long-term care sector. This type of membership is ideal for organizations whose work requires them to be kept up-to-date on the ongoing changes in the long-term care sector.
