Welcome!

The Ontario Long Term Care Association is the largest association of long-term care providers in Canada and the only association that represents the full mix of long-term care operators – private, not-for-profit, charitable, and municipal. We represent nearly 70% of Ontario’s 630 long-term care homes, located in communities across the province. Our members provide care and accommodation services to more than 70,000 residents annually.

Golf registration now open

The Ontario Long Term Care Association's Annual Golf Tournament will take place on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at the Cardinal Golf Club. The event provides an excellent opportunity to mix and mingle with the membership in a relaxed atmosphere. This year's tournament will feature an 18-hole shotgun start at noon, followed by dinner and an awards ceremony. New this year, we’re also offering 9-hole golfing, to start in the early afternoon, as well as a paint event for those who prefer not to golf but still want to network and support our Education Fund. Building better long-term care

With more than 600 homes across the province, long-term care has been and will continue to be a safe and dependable support for seniors and their families. Today's seniors have complex medical needs that must be supported by the health system they have grown to depend on. Over the next decade it is expected that the number of seniors will grow by 50%, and by extension, so will the demands for long-term care services. The sector is doing its part, but cannot meet this challenge head on if we aren’t supported for it. We have solutions. Visit BetterSeniorsCare.ca and read our action plan to ensure better seniors' care.

Read our latest report on the sector: This is Long Term Care 2016

We're pleased to officially release our This is Long Term Care 2016 report. The report explains what long-term care is really all about – providing new data about the changes in resident acuity, highlighting the good work our long-term care homes are doing, and providing a realistic picture of the sector.
