OMNI engaging front-line staff in insightful presentations
‘Tapestry of Diversity’ sessions aimed at enhancing importance of creating positive atmosphere

FCS International CEO Jayne Harvey has been visiting OMNI Health Care’s 17 long-term care homes since January, delivering her presentation entitled “Tapestry of Diversity.” These in-services focus on providing staff members with enhanced awareness of the need to be sensitive to cultural and personal differences amongst residents and co-workers, as well as to reinforce the notion that people need to bring positive attitudes into their life, both on the job and at home. While OMNI has engaged home and corporate managers in Harvey’s sessions in the past, the on-site visits are the first time front-line staff members have attended her sessions, which are peppered with humour and insightful ideas.
