PSHSA's Gentle Persuasive Approach: A Client Centred Approach to Violence Prevention in Health & Community Care Public Service Health and Safery Association (PSHSA) offers Workplace Violence Prevention Training, Sponsored in part by the Ministry of Health & Long-term Care. PSHSA offers courses for health care and community care clients in the Gentle Persuasive Approaches™ (GPA) to preventing workplace violence. Created by Advanced Gerontological Education, the GPA is grounded in the principle of person-centered care for dementia patients. Workplace Violence Prevention Programs: Preventing Client Aggression/Responsive Behaviours Through Gentle Persuasive Approaches™ - Program Development and Sustainability This PSHSA program has been developed for the program lead and the multidisciplinary committee responsible for preventing client aggression. This session will assist in developing a sustainable GPA program framework that meets legislative requirements and training requirements under the Long- term Care Home Act.
