Appreciation and thanks to staff
at Meadow Park
February 18, 2004
We as a family want to express our sincere appreciation to all the
staff of Meadow Park (London) Inc. for the care that was extended
to Mom (Nellie Brown) who passed away on January 28, 2004.
In October, 2003 Dad, (Roy Brown) chose the lodge for his home and
we approached CCAC to have Mom moved to Meadow Park Nursing home
as well. Nothing seemed to happen until we met with Irene Flatt.
Her advice and help had Mom approved to be moved into Meadow Park
with 24 hours. It made the visiting for Dad so very easy, but it
was only to last 2 weeks as Mom passed away.
The passing of a loved one is always difficult for the family, but
all the staff went beyond their training and their responsibility
and showed compassion, respect and kindness, not only to Mom, but
to every family member at her side.
They made Mom as comfortable as possible, gave her a private room
and total attention. The family did not even need to go out for
coffee, lunch or dinner. We got everything we needed that whole
day, just as if we were the only ones the staff had to care for.
Looking back, which is always 20/20, there is nothing we saw that
they could have improved on.
Please accept our appreciation and thanks for all that your staff
did that difficult day.
On behalf of the family,
Doreen Eizenga (Brown)
London, ON
