Hilltop Manor in Merrickville receives praise
from family member
December 1, 2003
I don’t know even where to begin to thank you for all the
care you gave to my mother, Margaret Smith. These are what has come
to mind immediately, I know there is so much more that will come
to me later but I want you to know now…
For all you did to ensure her pain was under control,
I thank you.
For all you did to ensure all her various physical problems were
addressed, I thank you.
For all you did in getting to know her and understand her quirky
mix up of words and what she was REALLY asking for or saying, I
thank you.
For piling on the blankets to keep her warm when nothing seemed
to be able to warm her up, I thank you.
For the wonderful nutritious food you gave her pleasure with, even
though she could never tell me what she ate, only that it was very
good, I thank you.
For ensuring her phone was in her reach so she could receive the
calls from those who loved her, I thank you.
For all you did to give her some laughter and smiles, I thank you,
I thank you.
For being so kind to my dad when he made his visits to her and for
always laughing at his jokes, I thank you.
For gracefully putting up with me being in your face, I thank you.
For the genuine sympathy and care given to me in her passing, I
thank you.
I pray that you will always be able to give care
and comfort to every person who comes to you.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
